Kalahari Waterpark
This year we wanted to do something new and fun with the kids so we booked a night at the Kalahari Waterpark & Resort. Its a huge indoor and outdoor waterpark and we knew Anna would love it for sure. We had a great time, and I know they would have loved another night there. I'm pretty sure we'll be making a return trip at some point!
No photos from our first afternoon there (not a great place to be dragging a camera around with you!). But when we arrived the first thing we did is grab some lunch and Anna lost a tooth! Here is her makeshift tooth keeper - a tissue with a bandaid as tape :) Note the marks under her eyes - this is from the fact that she spent hours in the water and the chlorine combined with wiping her eyes did a number on her skin!

Ice Cream treat!

Posing with one of the animal sculptures in the lobby - the theme of the resort is an African Safari and the kids loved it.
Having fun in the arcade
Day 2 - They had a great outdoor area that was perfect for Andrew. Nothing too crazy but he loved it. The first time he went down one of these slides he was very surprised by the splash of water he created at the bottom. Always the cautious one, after that he decided it was best to cover his eyes the whole way down!

As a resort guest, you get early entry into the water park before all the day guests arrive. Anna, Uncle Adam and Zach took advantage of this to take Anna on some of the more adventurous and popular rides. She discovered her favorite ride "The Rippling Rhino" a long tube slide. She made Gaga go on it later with her and "Gaga screamed the WHOLE time" :). She also discovered the "Flow Rider". They didn't even think it was something she would want to do, but as they walked past it she mentioned how fun it looked and after getting confirmation from the lifeguards that she was big enough she tried it out and loved it. These photos were from later in the day...
Video evidence of her skills :)
Uncle Adam gives it a try
