First Grade!

Today was the big day - the first day of 1st Grade! With much anticipation, the class lists were posted yesterday and we discovered that many of Anna's good friends would be with her in the same class with a great new teacher, Miss Tormey. 

The annual photo of Anna and Grace. Pretty sure we'll be getting this photo every year. Its a fun way to watch them grow!

The first person Anna found upon arrival was her teacher from last year. She ran up and gave her a huge hug!

Also exciting was the discovery of the class mascot "Bunny". We learned that Bunny seems to be the primary disciplinary tool, as good behavior earns "Bunny Bucks" that get you an entry into Bunny's prize raffle on Fridays. Bad behavior gets you a trip to "Bunny Planet" where you have to write a letter to your parents explaining what you did to get sent to "Bunny Planet". "Bunny" is so important, he even gets his photo in the yearbook :)

But probably the most exciting thing of all was finding out that Anna and Grace had assigned seats directly across from each other! Good luck with that Miss Tormey!
