Danville 4th of July Parade

This year we decided to take the kids to the Danville 4th of July parade for the first time. Even though we're a small town, this parade is a big deal. People scope out their spots and setup their chairs the minute they are allowed to the night before. We affectionately call the night of the 3rd of July "Free lawn chair night" :) Some people will chain their chairs to a tree or a post but the for the most part they are just left on the sidewalk and amazingly they are all still there in the morning.  We are lucky enough to have wonderful friends who own a business on the parade route and open up their parking lot to friends and family. This means we don't have to reserve our space the night before and we get to watch with lots of friends.

I arrived early with the car and all our "stuff" while Zach rode the bike in with the kids right before the parade started. It was HOT but we all had fun!

She can't take her eyes off Quinn!

Summer is a busy time so Larry put the kids to work after the parade!
The day finished off with some pool time, some great food and lawnmower rides with Larry!
