"(Sigh) They grow so fast..."

I know, people say it all the time, but as a parent of a young one you really do find yourself saying (or at least thinking) it at least once a week. For parents, its less noticeable because you see your kid every day. But when I find myself looking at some of the "old" photographs of Anna I can't believe my eyes - its amazing how someone can change so much in a matter of weeks. This posting was inspired by the professional photo we received a few weeks ago. We knew when we took it that it would probably be months before we got it back (its our photo for our church directory) and so it would already be way outdated, but hey, we got a free 8x10 and we knew we wouldn't be getting around to another professional photographer for a family portrait anytime soon. She seems so small to us in this photo and when you look at the photo then look at her the difference is amazing - and it was only a few months ago. Hard to believe she will be one in less than 2 months!
We now have this framed and up on the wall on our staircase and it's pretty funny because every time we go past it Anna stares at it like "who's that baby with Mom and Dad?"
Thanks for checking in! We'll be posting Halloween photos soon!

It gets even worse when you can't call them a baby anymore. Mia is decisively a toddler, but it is so much fun that it helps get you over not having a little baby anymore.
