A Peek at Baby G!

So, it had been quite a while since our last chance to see Baby G - about 13 weeks in fact and we didn't think we would be seeing her again until her birthday. However, given some concerns about the smaller size of Mommy G's belly we got a chance to see her last Wednesday, at 37 weeks and 2 days... As you might expect Baby G is pretty cramped in there which made it much harder to actually distinguish what is what and also made it impossible for the technician to re-confirm that Baby G is a she. So, we're going with his original prediction and hoping he is right!

The good news is that he estimated her at 37 weeks so it seems she is fairly well on track and simply must be hiding deep within Mommy G and her hips :) And Mommy G survived the torture of having to drink 32 ounces of water an hour before the ultrasound and not being able to go to the bathroom until after it was over. Any woman out there who has even been 37 weeks pregnant knows what a challenge that is!

It was a great relief to be able to head into our Thanksgiving thankful for the good news on our baby.

We had a great Thanksgiving with the Gagnon family on Thursday. Nana and Grandpa Herbert came up from Santa Barbara to join in the celebration. As always we are grateful to the Gagnons for including us in their family's celebration!
Mommy G is hanging in there, but unfortunately woke up with a cold on Thanksgiving morning. Better now than right after the baby is born I suppose! Maternity leave has officially started so it's time to start crossing off more things from the ever growing to-do list!
We will try to keep everyone posted as best we can in the next few weeks! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and thanks to all of you who have been sending your thoughts and wishes our way!
