Oh The Places She'll Go!

Today was Anna's last day of school at Quarry Lane. She started there in December 2010 just before she turned 3 and today finishes Pre-K!! It has been a great experience for her - the change in her just this year alone has been amazing. When she first started she barely talked to the teacher but this year's teachers reported that as soon as we would leave the room she would become the chatterbox we know and love. She loves to go to school and is so proud of what she has learned.  She can now read books on her own and even did some successful dictation at school last week. We are beyond proud of our little one and look forward to her new school adventures next year in Jr. Kindergarten. Stay posted for cute school uniform photos!

Since Quarry Lane technically goes year round and you can choose whether/when to take your child out during summer there was no official 'graduation' day so we decided to have a little family party to mark the occasion!

All set up and waiting for Anna to get home from school!

Notes from her teachers inside the book

I love these photos - this is her reaction to seeing the notes

She decided the balloon needed a hat and a face

She even wore her hat out to dinner that night and was very insistent that we made sure that everyone (including the waiter) saw her hat. She was VERY proud!

We love you Anna Sophia!
