Traveling with "Friends"
Somehow over the past year a tradition has developed where Anna picks one of her many "friends" to accompany Zach on business trips. I believe Corduroy was the first lucky friend but since then several friends have been lucky enough to go to places like Quebec City, Lima, London, Paris, and Warsaw (just counting the foreign trips!).
Having just returned from Peru with "little bunny foo foo", last Sunday Zach was sent on his way to Europe with "Furry Beast" in tow. The best part about this tradition are the photos that get sent back to us along the way. That and the glimpses we get of the "friends" when we talk on Skype. In all honesty I think sometimes Anna is more interested to talk to her "friend" than Zach!
Without further introduction, here are the chronicles of Furry Beast's trip to London and Warsaw:
Making friends in Heathrow on the way to Warsaw
Finally arriving in Warsaw and getting ready for bed
City Wall in Warsaw
Castle Square - Warsaw
Having a beer with Zach in Warsaw
Dinner at U Kucharzy (Warsaw) - for more on this epic meal check out Zach's blog post here (http://www.thethirstyscholars.com/2012/04/dinner-at-u-kucharzy-american-in-warsaw.html)
Back in London, waiting for his job interview
Making some important calls in a London phone booth
Finally back at SFO - hitching a ride to the car
As you can see, the "friends" have a great time. This post would not be complete without what has been the most epic of the friend photos - "Chuck the Chicken-Duck" at the Louvre:
P.S. I'm starting to get jealous that my daughter's toys are going to be more well traveled than I!
