Nutcracker

Today we kicked of what I hope will be an annual tradition (at least for Anna and me!) of going to see The Nutcracker! This year we went to a production geared toward younger kids - one hour runtime with no intermission. We went with the Gagnons and Jessica & Connor Huard and the kids had a great time.

Anna asked a lot of questions during the show and I later learned these were the same questions that Daddy was thinking but didn't say out loud. In fact, here is Daddy's Facebook status from shortly after the show: "Discovered at the Children's Nutcracker that Anna was verbalizing everything I was thinking. "What are they doing? Why are they doing that? That's a funny tutu! When is the mouse coming back?" Right there with you, honey..."

We capped it off with a "special treat" at Katy's Creek - Anna's first foray into the world of hot chocolate. Turns out she loved the whipped cream but not the hot chocolate...
