Quotables

Anna has become more and more conversational lately, to the point where she occasionally breaks out a phrase so unexpected that we look at her in complete disbelief. A few recent examples:

Noticing a small stuffed reindeer sitting on the top of an armchair at Nana and Papa's house: "What...do we have here?" (Seriously? Where did you come up with that one? Also, it should be noted that said reindeer then became her must-have companion for the entire visit. She demanded that "Rudolph" join her for naps and bedtime, and we even had to take him home with us so she could continue the slumber parties once we got home.)

While doing an alphabet puzzle with Aunt Bridgie, after Bridgie showed her a violin on the 'V' piece: "It's actually a guitar." (Fantastic irony - she correctly uses "actually" in a sentence, but misidentifies the violin as a guitar. And then argued with Bridgie about it for several minutes.)

While going on a walk with her new doll-sized stroller on the day after Christmas, she accidentally let go of the handles on a downhill slope. As she chased after the runaway stroller, she excitedly shrieked: "The stroller is running!" (This is now her favorite stroller game - push it away and then chase after it.)

While walking to the car upon leaving a holiday party, at which she refused to interact with anyone except Mommy: "We had so much fun!" (Well, some of us did, I guess.)

This morning, upon seeing a Jack In The Box commercial on TV: "Snowman! It's the burgie snowman!" (Yep, it's the burgie snowman. Not sure how to refute that claim.)

I love the "burgie snowman" callout. The fact that "burgie" is already a part of her vocab is awesome.
