Big Girl Bed

After an exhausting evening sleeping with Anna in a twin bed because she wanted to "snuggle", and a week of Anna insisting we get in bed to read a bedtime story we started discussing the possibility that it was time to move her to a "big girl bed". We have been pushing this off as long as possible since she had appeared to be quite happy in her crib and most parents told us to wait as long as we could! Nevertheless on July 5 we found ourselves taking a trip to Target to pick out some big girl bedding and trying to figure out how to fit a toddler bed in her bedroom.

She loves her bed and has shown no desire to return to her crib and is very proud of herself for sleeping in the "big girl bed'. She seems to be distracted by all the extra bedding so its taking her longer to actually fall asleep but we hope that will get better with time. Here are some photos of us setting up the bed, putting on the chosen Owl bedding and finally getting some shut eye.
